What makes Bruise Blue different?

Best prices, true bulk options, fast ship times, and clean, lab-sterilized product. No fluff—just stuff that performs. This is a mushroom company made by mushroom growers. We hope that it shows in our product.

Why Isn't there free shipping?

Because “free” isn’t free. Most sellers bake shipping into higher product prices. We don’t. At Bruise Blue, you pay exactly what it costs us to get your order to you—no markups, no “handling” fluff, no BS. That keeps our bags priced as low as possible and your shipping transparent. We pass through real carrier rates (and our discounts) and combine items to save where we can. Need a freight quote for pallets? Reach out and we’ll price it straight.

Are your bags sterile?

Yes. Sterilized in-bag, sealed, and QC-checked. If something arrives compromised, we make it right.

What are your shipping times?

Orders usually leave in 1–2 business days. Bulk and pallet orders may need a short lead time—ask if you’re on a deadline.

Do you offer bulk discounts?

Yep. Pricing scales as quantity goes up. Need a pallet or recurring supply? Request a quote.

Spawn ratio recommendations?

Common range is 1:2 to 1:4 (grain:substrate) by volume. Lower ratio = faster colonization; higher ratio = more efficient use. Adjust to your setup.

Incubation temps?

Most common gourmet species do well ~70–75°F (21–24°C). Avoid overheating—high temps invite problems.

Are the bags pre-hydrated?

Yes. All our sub bags come tuned and ready to mix. No rehydration should be needed. If you purchased raw materials (bulk coir, vermiculte, gypsum) you'll need to do the hydration/sterilization process on your own.

What if my order arrives damaged or looks off?

We'll replace it.

What’s the shelf life?

For best results, use within 4–6 weeks of delivery. Store sealed at room temp (cool, dark spot). Don’t freeze. If you feel like your bag might have been compromised during shipping, let it sit for a week or so to see if it develops any mold. If it smells sour, looks green, or otherwise doesn't perform, we'll make it right.

Do you ship discretely?

Plain boxes, simple labeling. We ship to the address you provide—please ensure deliveries are permitted in your area.

Where’s my tracking?

You’ll get an email as soon as it prints. Didn’t see it? Check spam or ping us with your order number.
